Requirements

• JD required, completed by the start date.
• Must be an active member of the Utah Bar.
• Knowledge of the e-discovery topic.
• Significant teaching experience.
• Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
• Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Responsibilities

• Teach a course on e-discovery, introducing students to issues involving electronic discovery and the electronic storage of information.
• Examine statutes, regulations, and case law related to the identification, preservation, collection, processing, hosting, review, and production of electronic information.
• Examine ways to proactively manage data to reduce privacy, security, and litigation risks and costs.
• Provide students with hands-on experience through practical exercises and utilizing software to accomplish specific litigation or eDiscovery tasks.
• Address questions related to the class outside of scheduled class time.
