Loras College invites applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach two sections of BUS317-Business Law for the Fall 2026 semester beginning in August. Business Law provides students with a study of the foundations of legal systems as well as legal concepts relating to contracts, employment, property, constitutional issues, torts, and crimes. It also covers identification of legal issues as well as determination and application of legal concepts to reach legal conclusions. Additional topics include the role of business ethics and corporate social responsibility, the formation and operation of contracts, and of the laws regarding negligence, property, and government regulation of business. Both sections are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday delivery. The first section is 12:30-1:50 each day and the second section is 2:00-3:20 each day. Candidates are sought to teach one or both courses. The course is delivered in-person on the Loras College campus. The successful faculty member will rigorously engage the students who come from a variety of Business majors.
