About The Position
Seabury at Pomperaug Woods is hiring a part-time Laundry Worker for its Environmental Services team in Southbury, Connecticut. The role helps ensure residents have clean, fresh linens and a comfortable living environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, with 8-hour shifts each day, totaling 16 hours per weekend. The Laundry Worker collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds, and distributes resident and healthcare linens; follows infection control, safety, and laundry procedures; maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area; operates laundry equipment; assists with linen deliveries throughout the community; and supports the Environmental Services team with additional assigned duties. The position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. The worker must be able to lift up to 30 pounds independently and push and pull linen carts weighing up to 100 pounds. Work takes place in a warm laundry environment and involves repetitive tasks.
