About The Position
This role involves assessing, providing, and documenting pastoral care to patients, families, and staff. The Associate Chaplain will also provide appropriate pastoral care to the local ministry and community through prayer and blessings. They will offer consultation to patients, families, and medical staff regarding ethical decision-making and values, making appropriate referrals as needed. Additionally, the role assists in planning, organizing, evaluating, and implementing the spiritual program within each local ministry to ensure spirituality initiatives are executed properly.
Requirements
- High school diploma equivalency required.
- 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE, CPEI, or CPSP is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Theology, Spirituality, Social Work, Divinity, Philosophy, Servant Leadership, Pastoral Studies, Human Behavior or a related field preferred.
- 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE preferred.
- 2 years of healthcare experience is preferred.
