About The Position

We are currently hiring a temporary part-time laundry associate for 16 hours per week every weekend required. Come join our dedicated team at Freedom Village at Brandywine, a wonderful place to work! The Laundry Associate is responsible for carrying out the normal activities of the laundry, including washing, ironing, folding, sorting, etc. of clothing and linens. Requirements

Possess the ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Ability to process 50-100 pounds of laundry at a time
Can generate a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
Can communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Can pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

Collects, cleans, and redistributes the Community laundry.
Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed, and dried according to State and Federal regulations.
Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
