About The Position
The Laundry Attendant helps the housekeeping team provide welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment for hotel guests. The role is responsible for keeping linens and towels clean and assisting room attendants with stocking linen closets and carts, removing laundry, and completing other assigned projects. The position is at AmericInn Lodge and Suites in Rapid City, South Dakota. Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be a team player.
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to meet high standards of room cleanliness.
- Be able to walk, climb stairs, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, twist, lift, push, pull, and carry.
- Be able to push and pull a fully loaded wheeled cart weighing more than 100 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Exceed guests’ expectations whenever possible.
- Load and unload commercial-style washers and dryers.
- Sort linens and personal garments as required.
- Fold towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other facility linens as required.
- Keep the folding room and laundry area neat and clean.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment as necessary.
- Assist room attendants with stocking linen closets and carts and removing laundry.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
