About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a part-time Laundry Worker in a long-term care facility. The role helps maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments. Responsibilities include handling laundry from collection through distribution, operating equipment, keeping activity records, following infection-control practices, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The position requires following instructions and performing routine, repetitive tasks. Weekend work is indicated in the job title.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
