Laundry Worker (Part Time)
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a part-time Laundry Worker for a long-term care facility. The role supports a clean and welcoming environment by maintaining the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments. The worker collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds, and distributes linens and personal clothing; operates laundry equipment; maintains activity records; follows infection-control precautions; and provides positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The position pays from $16.90 per hour, with actual wages varying according to factors such as location, experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons.
Requirements
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Be able to work around cleaning products.
- Be able to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- Reside within the service area.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Follow infection-control and universal-precautions policies to help ensure a sanitary environment.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests and provide excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
