Laundry Worker (Part Time)
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a part-time Laundry Worker to maintain the cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility. The role includes processing laundry, operating equipment safely, keeping activity records, following infection-control policies, and providing positive customer service to residents, staff, and guests. The position requires physical activity, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds, and working around cleaning products. Starting pay is $16.90 per hour; pay may vary based on location, experience, staffing needs, and other business reasons.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Work around cleaning products.
- Follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
