About The Position
Laundry Worker II staff help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and their families at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. The role provides an accurate, tidy supply of textile items and ensures each item is fit for use. It also assists with controlling and tracking laundry products and distributing clean linen throughout the hospital. The position emphasizes superior customer service and safety.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to drive power trucks used within the department according to prescribed regulations.
- Ability to perform certain jobs requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and speed.
- Knowledge of computer operations.
- Ability to work as part of a team and respond constructively to requests from other areas.
Nice To Haves
