About The Position
The Laundry Washer works in Environmental Services at Yarmouth Regional Hospital and reports to the Laundry Supervisor. The role provides clean, sanitary linen to hospital departments, collects soiled linen, maintains linen rooms in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly condition according to established procedures, and washes, dries, folds, sorts, and labels personal resident clothing. This is a part-time long-assignment position of approximately 12 months, scheduled for 30 hours biweekly. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Grade 12/GED or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of Infection Control procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Competencies in other languages; French preferred.
