About The Position

The Laundry Washer/Sorter supports daily laundry operations by sorting, washing, and drying linens according to cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. The role includes proper operation of laundry equipment, accurate handling of loads, and maintaining a consistent flow of clean linens. The position requires legal work authorization in the United States. Scheduled days and times may vary according to business needs; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 100 pounds, and push or pull as needed during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled linens into appropriate wash categories and identify stained or damaged items.
• Load and unload washers and dryers accurately, ensuring proper load weights.
• Select appropriate wash cycles and chemical formulas for each linen type.
• Transfer washed items to dryers and monitor load size and drying times based on fabric and weight.
• Deliver clean, dried linens to designated areas for folding or further processing.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including routine cleaning and clearing lint traps.
• Follow proper equipment start-up and shut-down procedures and promptly report equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, with necessary chemicals and supplies readily available.
