About The Position

The Laundry Transport Aide provides safe, timely transportation of laundry between Health Care Centers and the laundry facility. The aide may also assist with other facility trips as directed by a supervisor, administrator, or designee. The position includes driving a loaded delivery truck on a designated route, delivering cleaned laundry, collecting soiled laundry, unloading the truck at the laundry facility, and parking the truck at the end of the shift. On-the-job training is provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license in the state of employment.
• Safe driving record.
• Professional appearance.
• Courteous demeanor and good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience with driving and delivery service.

Responsibilities

• Drive the loaded delivery truck on the designated route.
• Deliver cleaned laundry to the facility and residents.
• Return along the same route after deliveries to pick up soiled laundry.
• Return to the laundry facility and unload the truck.
• Park the truck at the end of the work shift.
• Assist with other trips for the facility as deemed necessary by a supervisor, administrator, or designee.
• Communicate courteously with patients, residents, clients, and family members; provide a warm, friendly greeting and respond to expressed concerns with a helpful, caring demeanor.
