About The Position

The Laundry Technician operates the in-house laundry facility and maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment. The role follows Federal Register rules and regulations, Porter Medical Center and Helen Porter Nursing Home infection control policies and procedures, and Environmental Services and Laundry Department policies and procedures to maintain high standards. The technician works collaboratively with coworkers and other department team members as needed. This is a per diem position with no set weekly committed hours; scheduled hours vary according to departmental needs. It is not benefit eligible and is a bargaining union position.

Requirements

• Ability to read written procedures and apply them to daily work.
• Ability to submit records of accomplished work.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and good public relations.

Nice To Haves

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
