Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Laboratory Science and Histology routine training or Completed accredited Histology Technology program.
- HT/HTL Certificate (ASCP), equivalent or eligible.
- 1 year experience in Histology Laboratory preferred
Nice To Haves
- Ability to perform manual embedding and microtomy of paraffin embedded tissue blocks.
Responsibilities
- Processing tissues using Xpress microwave rapid tissue processor
- Embedding: Manual and Automated using Sakura Auto TEK embedder
- Microtomy of paraffin embedded tissue blocks both manual and auto embedded
- Recuts of tissue blocks
- Special Stains
- IF cryotomy of skin specimens
