Part Time - Laundry Attendant - ZYREA
About The Position
The Laundry Attendant cleans, sorts, washes, dries, folds, and stores hotel linens and uniforms to meet the hotel’s laundry needs and quality standards. The role includes receiving soiled linen from guest floors, inspecting and recording damaged or stained items, operating laundry equipment and using chemicals in the correct quantities, and maintaining organized supplies while minimizing waste. The attendant reports repairs and unsafe conditions, records discarded linen and reports linen damage or loss, and coordinates with other departments to support teamwork and quality service. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds and push or pull approximately 400 pounds.
- Frequently stand and move about the work area; handle objects and equipment; bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Ability to work frequently in high-temperature areas around heavy equipment.
- Communication skills for interacting with other employees and supervisors.
- Reading, writing, and basic math skills to determine chemical amounts for treating laundry and stains and to log poundage.
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays; varying shifts across a seven-day period may be required.

Responsibilities
- Clean and store linens and uniforms in a timely, organized manner.
- Receive soiled linens from floors by bag, cart, or chute; sort by kind, color, and degree of soil.
- Inspect laundry and linens and record damaged or stained items.
- Operate washers and dryers according to capacity recommendations and manufacturers’ guidelines, adding the correct quantities of chemicals before wash cycles.
- Fold clean linens and store them appropriately.
- Operate linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder, and table linen ironer machines.
- Report needed repairs and unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
- Monitor and control supplies and minimize waste in the laundry facility.
- Sort and record discarded linen by category and report linen damage or loss to a supervisor.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments to promote teamwork and quality service.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
