About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the condition of all hotel linen in accordance with the standards of Sunridge through efficient cleaning and processing. This role involves meeting and exceeding customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork, and performing other duties as required to provide service and teamwork. The attendant must adhere to hotel policies and procedures, minimize safety hazards, and maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. Projects a favorable image of Sunridge and the hotel to the public.

Responsibilities

  • Sorts laundry prior to washing according to fabric type, color, item or soil concentration to ensure maximum cleaning effectiveness.
  • Pulls damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading washers.
  • Loads washers and dryers to recommended weights, ensuring maximum loading capacity of machines.
  • Sets dryers for proper heating and cooling times to save energy, and places only proper linens in the dryer to be dried.
  • Operates, maintains, and cleans laundry equipment according to Sunridge standards.
  • Informs supervisor or management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages.
  • Folds all linen to closets and storage areas.
  • Adheres to hotel policies and procedures, including attending work on time, following grooming and dress standards, and minimizing safety hazards.
  • Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees.
  • Projects a favorable image of Sunridge and the hotel to the public.
  • Performs such other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
  • Achieves required threshold scores according to brand and Sunridge inspections.
