About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining the condition of all hotel linen in accordance with the standards of Sunridge through efficient cleaning and processing. This role involves meeting and exceeding customer and team member expectations by providing service and teamwork, and performing duties to ensure maximum cleaning effectiveness and energy savings.

Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
At all times projects a favorable image of Sunridge and the hotel to the public.
Must achieve required threshold scores according to brand and Sunridge inspections.

Responsibilities

Maintain the condition of all hotel linen in accordance with Sunridge standards through efficient cleaning and processing.
Provide service and teamwork to meet and exceed customer and team member expectations.
Sort laundry prior to washing according to fabric type, color, item, or soil concentration to ensure maximum cleaning effectiveness.
Pull damaged and/or stained linen prior to loading washers.
Ensure maximum loading capacity of machines and load washers and dryers to recommended weights.
Save energy by setting dryers for proper heating and cooling times and placing only proper linens in the dryer.
Operate, maintain, and clean laundry equipment according to Sunridge standards.
Inform supervisor or management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages.
Fold all linen to closets and storage areas.
Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, attend work on time, and follow grooming and dress standards.
Minimize safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.
Keep supervisor informed of problems or unusual matters.
Perform duties in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company employees.
Project a favorable image of Sunridge and the hotel to the public.
Perform other ancillary and related duties as may be assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Achieve required threshold scores according to brand and Sunridge inspections.
