About The Position

Prince Waikiki is seeking to hire a Laundry Attendant I to join their dynamic team of hospitality professionals. This role is responsible for the proper handling and processing of Hotel linen and uniforms in accordance with established standards. The position is on-call and operates within an air-conditioned Laundry Department. Shifts vary from 6:00 am to 11 pm, 7 days a week.

Requirements

Ability to read and write the English language to complete the production log and understand information, such as safety labels and instructions.
Must be able to operate pressing and ironing equipment.
Must be able to push, pull or lift heavy loads weighing up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to push/pull wheeled racks weighing up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to communicate verbally with employees.

Responsibilities

Ensure the proper handling and processing of Hotel linen and uniforms in accordance with standards established by the Prince Waikiki.
Operate pressing and ironing equipment.
Fold and stack linen.
Sort employee uniforms by department and hang on racks.
Clean equipment and surrounding work areas.
Deliver clean employee uniforms to the Uniform Room.
Assist the laundry washers in sorting uniforms according to color.
Assist the laundry washers to load and unload washer and dryers.
