About The Position

The Course Attendant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the outside services at the club. He/She will strive to uphold the policies, standards and guidelines set forth by his/her club. This role involves greeting guests, assisting with golf equipment, preparing golf carts, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting various golf course operations. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and involves both physical and communication demands.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean 2-year driver's abstract.
  • One year of customer service experience or related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the English language.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions from management.

Nice To Haves

  • Golf course experience preferred.
  • Second language highly desirable, with Japanese being the most desired.

Responsibilities

  • Greet each guest cheerfully, enthusiastically and with a smile and warm eye contact, making them feel welcome and ensuring they enjoy their day.
  • Greet guests at the bag drop area, assist with unloading golf equipment, and provide rides to the pro shop for check-in.
  • Maintain accurate records of receipts and equipment used by guests on the Starter Sheet.
  • Wear provided uniform, nametags, and any required personal protective equipment.
  • Prepare golf carts with scorecards, water, towels, and stage them in the designated area.
  • Assist players with cart breakdowns and arrange for towing if needed.
  • Wash and sanitize golf carts before and after each round using approved chemicals and equipment.
  • Replenish cart supplies and park carts in the designated row.
  • Break down the driving range in the P.M., collecting golf balls and range baskets.
  • Attend to the driving range duties as scheduled.
  • Ensure the bag drop and cart staging areas are attended throughout the day.
  • Clean players' clubs at the end of their round and load them into their vehicle or take them to the bag drop.
  • Maintain constant communication with the Starter and other player assistants, ensuring proper spacing on the course.
  • Provide assistance to the Starter as needed.
  • Place radio on charger at the end of the shift, ensuring the charger light is illuminated.
  • Cover other areas if short-handed, such as picking up disabled carts, delivering messages, helping bag staff, picking the range, pulling carts, performing driving range attendant duties, and other requests from professional staff.
  • Report irrigation breaks, accidents, or unusual circumstances to the golf shop.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
