About The Position

The Laundry Associate collects, sorts, washes, and dries facility linens, scrubs, and residents’ personal clothing. The role includes inspecting items and removing those unfit for use, then distributing linens throughout the building to maintain adequate supplies. The associate also responds to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors and provides customer service in accordance with Foundation Health’s policies and standards.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
• Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.

Nice To Haves

• Prior laundry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sort soiled linens from various locations into compatible washing types.
• Load washers with soiled linens and select the appropriate wash formula.
• Unload washers, load dryers, fold linens, and distribute them to storage areas throughout the facility.
• Put residents’ clothing in the correct residents’ closets and drawers.
• Inspect items and remove those unfit for use.
• Respond to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors.
• Perform work according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards.
• Provide customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating core and leader behaviors.
