About The Position

The Laundry Aide performs day-to-day laundry services to ensure patients’ laundry needs are met in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and Life Care standards. The role involves routine laundry processing and distribution, providing customer service to patients, and supporting patient evacuation when needed. The Laundry Aide works productively with an interdisciplinary team and maintains confidentiality, professional relationships, safety, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Prior health care experience preferred.
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action.
Knowledge of practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility.
Read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Collect, sort, iron, fold, stack, hang, and distribute laundry.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
Assist in the evacuation of patients.
Maintain dependable, regular attendance.
Concentrate, use reasoning skills and good judgment, and communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Follow departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, as well as applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Perform competently in areas including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and others.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information.
Follow company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures, and adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and required compliance training.
