About The Position

The Laundry Aide performs day-to-day laundry services to ensure patients’ laundry needs are met in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. The role includes handling laundry from collection and sorting through processing and distribution, while maintaining patient confidentiality, safety, sanitation, and professional working relationships.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior health care experience is preferred.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Know practices and procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care facility.
• Perform proficiently in competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain professional working relationships with associates, vendors, and others.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day laundry functions, including collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing laundry.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Use concentration, reasoning skills, and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Follow applicable laws, regulations, facility guidelines, department policies and procedures, and company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and confidential information.
• Complete mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training.
