About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time middle and high school Latin teacher for its classical, Catholic classroom at its Spring, Texas location during the 2026–2027 academic year. The academy is a national classical homeschool organization offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Teaching certification and formal teaching experience are not required; training, curriculum, grading guidelines, and lesson plans are provided. Tutors receive training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The position is hourly. The teacher must prepare for classes at home, follow and implement lesson plans, and arrive prepared to teach in a highly structured environment. Staff childcare and nursery are provided. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and live the faith day to day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All employees must pass a clear background check, and staff complete RCA Safe Child training before teaching.

Requirements

Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and a deep love for the Catholic faith.
Living the Catholic faith day to day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
Clear background check and completion of RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
Availability to work Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Willingness to prepare for classes at home and teach according to provided lesson plans in a highly structured environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children.
Experience in Catholic parish ministry or teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes.
Experience teaching one's own children.
Experience teaching in a classical or private school.

Responsibilities

Teach Latin to middle and high school students in a classical Catholic classroom.
Prepare for classes at home and follow and implement the provided lesson plans.
Come to class prepared to teach in a highly structured environment.
Complete training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards.
Attend three days of training on August 6, 7, and 10, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
