About The Position

Keel was formed by bringing together three industry leaders combining generations of hands-on expertise in steel fabrication, shipbuilding, aerospace, and defense manufacturing. The Laser Track Technician performs basic dimensional inspection and measurement tasks using portable laser tracking systems under close supervision. This role supports production, tooling verification, and quality assurance activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
  • 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or inspection.
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and measurements.
  • Attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing fundamentals preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of laser tracker equipment.
  • Operate laser tracker systems under supervision.
  • Perform basic part inspections and collect measurement data.
  • Verify fixture and tooling dimensions.
  • Record data and generate basic inspection reports.
  • Follow established metrology procedures and safety standards.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and calibration logs.
