About The Position

The Laser Engraver is responsible for following production dates and the work schedule to produce offered laserable products accurately and on time. The role prepares substrates, artwork, and products for laser processing; verifies order details; and cleans, inspects, and packages completed products. The employee is responsible for all aspects of proper laser operation and may use cutting and fabrication equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of graphics.
• Ability to use business computer programs, including AS400 and intermediate Word and Excel.
• Ability to work with multiple internal and external customers and communicate clearly.
• Ability to work in a goal-oriented team environment and work well with others.
• Ability to work under time constraints while meeting productivity, accuracy, and service-related performance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Service orientation, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including continual lifting, grasping, and use of force with hands; using leg force to operate the cutting machine; occasionally lifting 36–40 pounds; continually lifting up to 20 pounds; and frequently moving among stationary, bending, lifting, squatting, reaching, twisting, and turning positions.

Nice To Haves

• One year of CorelDraw experience.
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Complete necessary preparations for each substrate before laser processing.
• Prepare artwork to ensure it is suitable for laser engraving.
• Prepare products for laser engraving, including peeling or cutting plastic, retrieving items from the warehouse, operating the cutter, and related tasks.
• Verify product details, quantities, and order accuracy.
• Clean, inspect, and pack products as needed.
• Tape, fill, and package products into boxes when orders are complete.
• Complete tasks accurately and within deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Operate laser equipment properly and use metal and plastic sheers and fabrication equipment as needed.
