About The Position

Leidos seeks a Large Industrial Energy Advisor to market and support energy-efficiency projects for the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency business program. The role engages large industrial customers—including manufacturers, warehouses, and organizations supporting facility energy-consuming systems—to promote and coordinate utility-sponsored energy-efficiency services, with energy savings as the primary focus. The advisor manages a portfolio of projects, supports program delivery and market development, analyzes sector needs, and helps customers and other stakeholders identify energy-related opportunities. The position works directly with facility owners, architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand energy-conservation and decarbonization goals. It includes managing a high-volume project portfolio, performing energy simulation analyses, preparing reports and design recommendations, communicating energy measures to technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborating with project managers to deliver high-quality work. The advisor also provides customer education and training, develops industry relationships, contributes to presentations and promotional events, and provides input on adapting programs to changing market needs. This is a remote position, with a strong preference for candidates residing in the Ameren Illinois service territory, roughly the southern two-thirds of Illinois. Travel is up to 40–60%, typically day trips two to three days per week, with occasional overnight travel for conferences or seminars about four to five times per year. The Energy Advisor reports to the Business Program Manager. Leidos is the employer; Ameren Illinois does not select or manage the employee.
