Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician I/II (CARE)
About The Position

As a member of our nursing staff, you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills and performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians. Requirements
- Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician I: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital.
- Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician II: High school diploma or equivalent; four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital; and certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, kneel, pull, push, twist and stand for an extended period of time.
Nice To Haves
- Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred, but not required.
