About The Position

As a member of our nursing staff, you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills and performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses
• One year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital
• Four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses (for Technician II)
• Two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital (for Technician II)
• Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician (for Technician II)
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend, kneel, pull, push, twist and stand for an extended period of time
