About The Position

As a member of our nursing staff, you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills and performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technician I: Two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital.
  • Technician II: Four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital.
  • Technician II: Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician in a large animal practice.
  • Certification or licensure as a veterinary technician is preferred, but not required.
