About The Position
As a Lap/Polish machinist, you will be responsible for operating Lap and Polishing equipment and/or EDM equipment to produce precision aerospace components working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and a passion for producing high-quality components. You will collaborate daily with quality, engineering, and production team members as part of a high-performance manufacturing team focused on delivery, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities
- Understand and operate Lap and Polishing equipment and/or EDM equipment.
- Follow and adhere to established Quality procedures
- Read and Interpret Aerospace engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Setup machines with proper fixtures, and abrasives
- Operate precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height stands, optical flats, and indicators.
- Monitor Machine Performance and adjust as necessary to maintain process capability
- Perform in-process quality checks and document results according to aerospace quality standards (AS9100, etc.)
- Maintain Accurate documentation of work performed (travelers, work orders, Inspection logs)
- Perform routine maintenance on LAP equipment and assist with troubleshooting when issues arise
- Collaborate with engineering, quality and other departments to ensure production goals and quality requirements are met
- Accurately clock in and out on work orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
