About The Position

ATS Traffic is looking for Lane Closure Technicians to join their busy 2026 season. These positions will operate within Municipalities in support of on-going projects. The role involves conducting traffic control around cities, construction sites, and major events. Traffic Technicians design safe lane closures and traffic detours with physical setup and removal of devices such as barricades, pylons, signage, and digital messaging boards. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors in all types of weather and is motivated and hardworking.

Requirements

A valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean 3-year Regular Driver Record from ICBC or equivalent is required.
A valid BC Traffic Control Person (TCP) ticket from the BCCSA is required.
Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 50 and 75 pounds.
Previous experience as an Lane Closure Technician required; 6 months or more.
As this is a safety-sensitive position, all employees must undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. This includes use of medical or recreational marijuana. ATS Traffic has a zero tolerance policy in place for safety-sensitive positions.

Own method of transportation to get to and from work is preferred.
