About The Position

The Landscaping Crew Supervisor leads a grounds maintenance team of up to four people and is responsible for ensuring that customer expectations for site maintenance and service are being met or exceeded by managing, coordinating and monitoring the performance of personnel assigned. This position works in the field alongside crew members while providing job training and support to maintain high productivity and efficiency. The Crew Supervisor is responsible for the safety of the crew and for the safe operation of landscaping vehicles and equipment.

  • Valid Washington State Driver License
  • Ability to pass a five (5) year Driving Record Check in alignment with AtWork!’s policies
  • Ability to pass a DSHS Background Check in alignment with AtWork!’s policies

  • Previous landscaping crew supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Quality Control of Job Site: Perform all job tasks strictly in accordance with specific requirements in the contract Statement of Work. Conduct daily, routine, and before and after inspections of the work site. Complete Job site quality control checklists and reports. Identify and report insect and disease issues, turf and tree stress. Customer Communication – proactively address questions or issues and suggest improvements.
  • Employee Supervision: Work with people with disabilities. Oversee proper safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment usage and practices of crew. Conduct “on the job" training and assist crew in completion of required tasks as necessary. Prioritize the day’s work list and assign duties to crew members. Begin to develop working knowledge of production planning and scheduling daily jobs of their crew.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete timesheets, Vehicle Inspection Reports, and inventory (chemicals and equipment). Immediately report accidents or injuries to management and complete required paperwork. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Maintain vehicle cleanliness. Other duties when assigned.
