About The Position

The Landscape Crew Leader directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes assigned grounds and turf maintenance work. The role enhances the appearance and value of properties by leading daily landscape maintenance, including planting, trimming, mowing, weeding, mulching, and fertilizing. The crew leader also learns to diagnose insect, disease, and cultural or environmental conditions affecting turf and shrubs; communicates with management and clients about landscape needs; and drives, operates, and maintains landscape equipment. The position is based at an outdoor work site in Columbus, Ohio, with travel expectations of up to 25%.

Requirements

Love of the outdoors.
Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books upon hire.
Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Background in horticulture or landscaping.
Knowledge of turf, weeds, and tree and shrub identification.
