About The Position

This is a hybrid position that requires employees to come into our Midtown NYC office 3 days a week. The role involves designing, reviewing, and guiding planning projects, supporting internal team members and consultants. The Landscape Architect will manage landscape architecture projects, develop and review drawings, and contribute to design excellence and problem-solving. The position also requires incorporating Integrated Sustainable Design solutions, understanding the relationship between design and constructability, and participating in client relationship management. The role ensures adherence to HOK document standards and proper document archiving. Responsibilities include assisting with proposal preparation, participating in interviews and public presentations, and understanding intra-company agreements, contracts, and deliverables to meet HOK's project management standards. The position may involve mentoring and directing staff, proactively engaging staff, providing development opportunities, and actively promoting a collaborative and innovative culture while fostering a commitment to external and internal client service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or architecture plus 10 years’ experience; or equivalent in appropriate education and experience required.
  • Registration with current license required.
  • LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in landscape architecture or urban design may also be required.

Responsibilities
