About The Position

A Laborer safely and efficiently performs general labor duties at a landfill or other company-operated site, such as a hauling company, transfer station, or recycling center. Work may include cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment, fueling vehicles, operating general site vehicles and equipment, performing yard work, completing basic office maintenance and repairs, installing temporary wind fences, and directing site traffic. The position also performs other job-related duties as assigned.

This is a union position paying $27.59 per hour. Eligible employees can elect to participate in the company’s benefits programs.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform assigned responsibilities.
• Clean up work areas.
• Fuel vehicles and equipment.
• Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment.
• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup.
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
