Requirements

Equivalent knowledge or experience in landscaping, general maintenance, or general construction.
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Ability to perform physical labor in various conditions outdoors, operate small engines and various hand/power tools, and strong customer service skills.
Valid SC Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

A CDL license is not required for this role, but is highly encouraged for those seeking future promotions.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and semi-skilled tasks to maintain county roads and rights-of-way, including removing debris, trash, and dead animals, and placing signs for maintenance operations.
Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools—such as mowers, weed eaters, and pressure washers—while performing routine preventative maintenance and refueling to ensure all equipment remains operable.
Assist with loading and unloading materials for department projects and remain available for possible on-call emergency work during evenings, nights, or weekends.
