About The Position
A Laborer safely and efficiently performs general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Work may include cleaning work areas and equipment, fueling vehicles, performing yard work, operating general site vehicles and equipment, completing basic office maintenance and repairs, installing temporary wind fences, and directing site traffic. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned labor responsibilities.
- Clean up work areas.
- Fuel vehicles and equipment.
- Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment.
- Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup.
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment, including water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.
- Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.
- Install temporary wind fences as required.
- Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
