About The Position
We are currently looking for a Laborer to join our facility in Jersey City, NJ. This role is a full-time position with a shift from 12am to 8:30am. The pay rate is $23.53 per hour.
Requirements
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
Nice To Haves
- Ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspects materials and sorts items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist equipment operators
- Load and unload items from machines, conveyor and conveyances
- Moves reusable materials to production department or storage
- Separates metal particles from waste
- Cleaning which includes; sweeping and shoveling residual waste from process
- Removes waste materials from conveyor
- Other duties may be assigned
