About The Position

A Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Duties may include cleaning work areas, fueling vehicles and equipment, operating site vehicles and equipment, maintaining offices, and performing other related work. The role may also involve directing site traffic and installing temporary wind fences as needed.

The position is part of Republic Services, an environmental services company providing recycling, waste, special waste, hazardous waste, and field services. The job description emphasizes safe and efficient work and notes that duties may change at the Company's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Clean up work areas.
• Fuel vehicles and equipment.
• Clean track on track-type and related equipment.
• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup.
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
