About The Position

MCCS is seeking a Laborer to support Aloha Grab & Go. The role performs general labor duties, including handling supplies and materials, grounds work, furniture moving, waste collection, vehicle cleaning, and restroom upkeep. The position also provides courteous customer service, follows safety requirements, reports hazards and workplace incidents, and supports equal employment opportunity principles and the prevention of sexual harassment. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge and skill sufficient to operate lawnmowers and use hand buffers, hatchets, saws, hands, and tools requiring a similar level of skill.
Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions.
Ability to work safely while moving objects ranging from light to heavy weight.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and objects over 45 pounds with assistance.
Must complete a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) successfully; employment is contingent upon completion.

Responsibilities

Load and unload heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials from trucks and other equipment.
Move boxes and cartons by hand, hand truck, or dolly; open crates and boxes with crowbars, cut bands with shears, and stack items as directed.
Dig ditches where grading and sloping are not required; fill holes and level uneven ground using a shovel, hand tamper, and rake.
Operate walking-type hand and powered lawnmowers that do not require very heavy physical effort.
Clear small trees and bushes with a hatchet, handsaw, or clippers.
Move and arrange furniture as directed.
Shovel snow, sand, or dirt from sidewalks as needed.
Collect and empty garbage cans and burn garbage and trash.
Wash and wax cars and trucks by hand or with a powered buffer.
Clean and maintain restrooms throughout the shift.
Provide courteous, friendly customer service; help customers and act promptly to solve problems, seeking assistance from a supervisor or appropriate contact when needed.
Follow safety regulations and standards, and promptly report workplace hazards, injuries, occupational illnesses, and property damage to the immediate supervisor.

Perform other related duties as required.
