About The Position

Primoris Distribution Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Laborer for our Tampa operations. This role involves performing essential manual labor tasks to support the efficient execution of distribution and construction projects, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Requirements

Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly, bending, stooping, climbing, and standing.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in a construction or industrial labor role is a plus.
Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform various physical tasks including digging, trenching, lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading materials and equipment.
Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., pipefitters, electricians, equipment operators) as directed.
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively, including but not limited to shovels, picks, drills, and grinders.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing and transportation of materials.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist in the setup and teardown of job sites, including traffic control and safety signage.
Perform general site cleanup and debris removal.
Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Follow instructions from supervisors and foremen to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
