About The Position

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for providing special process control mechanisms, which will guarantee that engine components will be meeting Company Policies, Airworthiness Regulations, Business needs and Customer expectations. The role supports Operations and Manufacturing Engineering activities and deliverables as required in their expertise field. Please note that this position will cover the evening shift (2pm to 10pm). Requirements

  • Technical Diploma in Chemistry or Metallurgy, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory OR; Relevant University Degree
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, test, measure and evaluate special process control test-pieces or samples as per the technical specification requirements and related documents.
  • Accept or reject repaired components or special processes that have been tested.
  • Maintain up to date quality records and documentation related to special process control.
  • Keep data bases information up to date.
  • Support the relevant Manufacturing Engineer in the development of chemical or metallurgical techniques or processes
  • Perform analysis of components, debris, fuel samples, oil samples or other fluids found within engines and publish Lab report.
  • Perform dimensional evaluation of surface defects as required.
  • Publish results in a Lab report.
