About The Position
The Laboratory Technician III performs microbiology laboratory testing in a fast-paced GMP environment, supporting one or more areas including environmental monitoring, raw materials, in-process product, and final product. The technician analyzes test data and evaluates results, writes procedures with guidance, and works under a supervisor’s guidance while managing time efficiently to complete assigned duties on schedule.
Requirements
- At least an Associate’s degree; preferably in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology.
- Maintains certifications as needed for assigned job tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs written test methods to support product and material release.
- Maintains a safe work environment for themselves and others in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Implements and maintains GMP requirements for laboratory records, procedures, and systems.
- Performs environmental monitoring using required equipment and at the required frequency.
- Completes assigned tasks as committed and works with others to support a positive atmosphere and business objectives.
- Revises procedures as necessary and provides support for the department.
- Supports investigations.
- Performs trained laboratory techniques effectively and with minimal error.
- Analyzes test data and evaluates results.
- Writes procedures with guidance.
