About The Position
The Laboratory Technician III performs laboratory testing in a microbiology lab within a fast-paced GMP environment, supporting one or more of the following areas: environmental monitoring, raw materials, in-process product, and final product. The technician analyzes test data and evaluates results, writes procedures with guidance, and works under a supervisor’s guidance while managing time efficiently to complete assigned duties on time.
Requirements
- At least an Associate’s degree is required; a scientific field is preferred.
- Maintains certifications as needed for assigned job tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or another scientific field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs test methods as written to support product and material release.
- Maintains a safe work environment for themselves and others in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Implements and maintains GMP requirements for laboratory records, procedures, and systems.
- Performs environmental monitoring with required equipment and at the required frequency.
- Completes assigned tasks as committed and works with others to maintain a positive atmosphere and accomplish business objectives.
- Revises procedures as necessary and provides support for the department.
- Supports investigations.
- Performs trained laboratory techniques effectively with minimal error.
