About The Position
The Laboratory Technician III performs laboratory testing in the microbiology lab within a fast-paced GMP environment, supporting one or more areas including environmental monitoring, raw materials, in-process product, and final product. The role analyzes test data and evaluates results, writes procedures with guidance, and works under a supervisor’s guidance while managing time efficiently to complete assigned duties on schedule.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree at minimum; preferably in a scientific field such as Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology.
- Maintain certifications as needed for assigned job tasks.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform written test methods to support product and material release.
- Maintain a safe work environment for themselves and others in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Implement and maintain GMP practices for laboratory records, procedures, and systems.
- Perform environmental monitoring using required equipment and at the required frequency.
- Complete assigned tasks as committed.
- Work collaboratively to maintain a positive atmosphere and accomplish business objectives.
- Revise procedures as necessary and provide support for the department.
- Support investigations.
- Perform trained laboratory techniques effectively and with minimal error.
