About The Position
AGAT Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Technician A - Hydrocarbon to join their dynamic, purpose-driven team. Occasional evenings and weekend availability are required for this position.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education with a Chemical degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- Experience in GC & general lab skills is essential.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Team player with the ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work lab experience is an asset, training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate instruments such as GC-FID and GC-TCD, and GC-SCD.
- Perform samples, reagents, and calibrations preparations as directed.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshooting as necessary.
- Compile, verify, and validate data records.
- Ensure quality assurance standards and turnaround times are met, following all SOPs and QC guidelines.
- Report and document results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform basic analysis.
- Report results.
- Other duties as assigned.
