About The Position

Ascension Saint Alexius is seeking a Laboratory Scientist to join their team. This role is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting test results. The individual will perform waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director and report results according to established procedures. Participation in quality control, quality assurance, and quality management standards is essential, adhering to guidelines from JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other applicable agencies. Specimen collection may also be required.

Requirements

• MLT: Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university.
• Or Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.
