Phlebotomist:40 Hours Per Week (AM)
About The Position
Franciscan Health Indianapolis is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team. This role is responsible for the collection of blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens. Laboratory office duties include registering patients, accurately entering data into the computer system, specimen accessioning, answering telephone calls, and processing paperwork. Specimen processing duties involve preparing specimens for testing and/or for shipment to central or reference laboratories. The individual may also perform limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director. In some facilities, this individual may also act as a driver and participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

- Background in a medical laboratory
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- May be required to travel/drive to other locations
