About The Position

This is a part-time role focused on managing the logistics of laboratory samples. The position involves receiving, processing, labeling, preparing, and tracking samples. The role requires attention to detail, basic English proficiency, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The work environment is a controlled climate laboratory, and the role involves physical demands such as lifting and continuous movement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work the 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM schedule reliably.
• Capability to read and interpret English alphanumeric IDs, tags, and standard lab labeling.
• Strong focus required to accurately identify minor differences in numbers, letters, and barcodes.
• Fine motor skills for handling small lab tools, caps, and test tubes repeatedly; ability to lift small to medium shipping containers.
• Ability to follow SOPs and established quality control procedures accurately.
• Ability to follow laboratory safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with laboratory and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

• Unpack packages upon arrival, verify sample IDs against manifests, and evaluate sample condition.
• Generate and accurately attach barcode labels to tubes, vials, and specimen holders.
• Dispense measured volumes of liquid samples into smaller containers using automated equipment or manual pipettes.
• Sort and prepare samples for distribution to designated testing departments or client categories.
• Package and process samples for return delivery to clients or handle standard disposal following set protocols.
• Use standard computers and barcode readers to log sample tracking information, status updates, and shipping records.
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving station stocked with necessary lab supplies.
