About The Position

Bureau Veritas is looking for a Laboratory Coordinator (project management) to join our environmental laboratory in Saint-Laurent, QC or Ste-Foy, QC. This role involves assisting Project Managers with the reporting of exceedances for microbiology. The position requires a BAC of science or equivalent, laboratory experience, bilingualism (French is a must), very good computer skills, excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate can manage multiple deadlines under stressful conditions with tight guidelines and has good initiation skills to identify when administrative assistance is needed by project managers.

  • Bilingual (MUST speak French)

  • Good initiation skills to know when administration assistance is required by fellow project managers

Responsibilities

  • Accountable to project managers for delivery of all clients related services, such as TAT, delivery of reports, on time billing of all completed files, management of subcontracted work, etc.
  • Ensure all client telephone calls are returned within 30 minutes of the reception time.
  • Work closely with project managers to develop client relations and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Responsible for establishing and meeting client delivery commitments and schedules with laboratory operations based on workloads, and client priorities.
  • Coordinate on time and accurate delivery of all bottle orders.
  • Coordinate and schedule on time pick-up of samples.
  • Coordinate and follow-up of all subcontracted analyses.
  • Provide scheduled delivery of all data in the client specific electronic format.
  • Assist with on time billing and report generation.
  • Maintenance and follow-up of all client files, and client information.
  • Assist project managers with the preparation of quotations and RFPs.
  • Document and follow-up of all client complaints.
  • Make known all client complaints to project managers.
  • Assist with sample entry and bottle preparation.
  • Ensure all job entries are verified and approved within 30 minutes of login time.
  • Assist with all office related administration tasks such as filing, report generation, mailing, invoice generation, etc.
  • Stay current of all released methods, pars, mocs through the QSI database.
  • Maintain to date employee training file.
  • Adhere to and participate with all QA\QC policies of the organization.
